Our Vision for Royal Park

The creation of a re-developed facility that will showcase sustainable community actions and practice. It will be achieved through the development of a Sustainable Living Precinct that will include:
- public open space for passive recreation, environmentally friendly play area, the use of local plants to create water-wise gardening and alternative landscaping design
- renovated community resource and education centre
- a community garden
- office space for environmental community organizations and green businesses
- a physical, intellectual & ecological domain
Possibilities

Studio space, Healthy Food Orientated Café, Retail outlet for enviro-friendly products and produce.
Passive recreation area including an environmentally friendly playground.

Open space:
- Open areas for kicking footy, cricket etc
- Knowledge centre
- Waste minimisation/recycling zone
- Recycling space
- Composting facilities

Indigenous “garden” and habitat
- Indigenous plant-based permaculture
- Koorie links to plants and area
- Community based precinct
- A biolink to other regional habitats
- Part of local and greater Ballarat walking/riding trails
